On Wednesday evening, April 22, 2015, Piero Rivolta invited the community to join him and friends from the business, television, sports, and cultural communities of the Suncoast for “Poetic Life” — an evening of poetry and examination of what it means to lead a poetic life, including a discussion of the danger of over-rationalization in our contemporary culture. The celebration took place in the beautiful Harold and Kay Ronson Grand Atrium of the Sarasota Opera House.
Piero read from his recently released second edition of Just One Scent The Rest Is God, and special guest readers included Wendy Ross of ABC 7 Sarasota; Michael Klauber of Michael’s On East; tennis legend Nick Bollettieri; music dynamo Ann Stephenson-Moe; arts critic Richard Storm; and poet and writer Su Byron. Click on the videos below to watch our guest readers — and fellow lovers of the poetic life — in action.
